The Centre for Community Socio-economic and Environmental Development (CSEED) is a Vietnamese independent non-governmental organization (NGO), which was established under Decision No 77/QD-LHH dated 17 January 2006 by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA).
CSEED was formed by the staff of the Community Development Department of CIDSE Vietnam - Coopération Internationale pour le Développement et la Solidarité - as a part of the planned empowerment and management role hand-over to a local NGO after CIDSE's 27 years working in Vietnam.
On 9 February 2012, Tan Son District People's Committee (DPC), Phu Tho province and Centre for Community Socio-Economic and Environmental Development – CSEED signed agreement for project "Sustainable agro-forestry development and marketing of ecological products from poor rural families in Tan Son - Tan Son District, Phu Tho Province

Global support to aid Viet Nam with issues related to climate change was affirmed during bilateral meetings between Viet Nam and other countries and international organisations during the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) in Durban, South Africa.
